Jackson, Miss. - Rhodes women's basketball couldn't overcome a 13-point halftime deficit, resulting in their second loss of the season. The Lynx fell to Belhaven 60-53 after playing their fourth game in five days. Rhodes is now 6-2 on the season and will not play again until they host Augustana College on Dec. 16th at 7 p.m.
Belhaven led 11-6 after the first quarter before taking a 34-21 halftime advantage. During the second quarter, Belhaven went 10-of-17 in the field, shooting with 58.8% accuracy. Rhodes flipped the stats in the third quarter, edging the hosts 17-14. The Lynx shot over 50% while Belhaven connected on only three shots on 15 attempts. In the final 10 minutes of the game, the Lynx again out-scored the Blazers by three points, but ran out of time trying to earn their seventh win of the season.

Lindsey Whiteside led the Lynx. Young tallied 13 points and the game-high eight rebounds with seven points and four rebounds coming in the third quarter alone. She went six-of-12 in the game. Whiteside totaled the game-high 14 points (4-9) and grabbed six rebounds. Leading the game in assists was junior
