Lynx edge Sewanee 3-2 in 47th minute

Sewanee, Tenn. - Rhodes field hockey edged Sewanee 3-2 Saturday afternoon on the road to improve to 7-1 on the season. The loss takes the Tigers to 6-3.

Sewanee scored first in the 12th minute with the Lynx tying the game just a minute and a half later when junior Hailey Mules scored her 11th goal of the season. Mules then served senior Lizzie Wood in the 37th minute to take a brief lead before Sewanee scored with two minutes left in the first half. Wood and Mules then switched roles, with Mules recording her third game-winner of the season in the 47th minute. 

Rhodes dominated the offensive game, securing 28 shots to Sewanee's six. Goalkeeper Rachel Blum recorded 14 saves for the Tigers.

The Lynx will play a neutral-site game outside of St. Louis in Maryland Heights, Mo. against Concordia University Wisconsin on Sunday. The game will be held at SportPort at noon.
