Conway, Ark. - Rhodes College women's soccer defeated Hendrix College 3-0 Saturday evening to conclude the regular season with a 5-1-1 record in the Southern Athletic Association. Rhodes, who is 8-4-2 on the year, has earned the second seed in this year's SAA Tournament with the same record the Lynx earned in 2016. Rhodes will host Oglethorpe on Saturday, October 27th in quarterfinal action at 11:30 a.m. 

Senior Sydnie Schindler scored the game-winner in the 21st minute, her seventh goal of the year, to give Rhodes a 1-0 lead after halftime. The Texas native then scored again in the 59th minute. she is tied for third among conference players with goals scored this season. Rounding out scoring for Rhodes was freshman Kassidy Grant with her first collegiate goal. Grant scored on her only shot of the game as the Lynx held a 16-10 shot advantage and 7-2 corner advantage. 

Since forming the SAA in 2012, Rhodes has earned one of the top three spots in each conference tournament, going 5-1-1 in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2018. In 2012 Rhodes went 6-1, tying Centre and Birmingham-Southern for the regular season title. In 2015 they went 5-2 and last season the Lynx entered the tournament with a 4-2-1 record. 

This year Rhodes has out-scored their conference opponents 13-8 and limited those opponents to 48 shots while the Lynx rattled off 146 of their own. Rhodes finished the regular season with back-to-back shutouts, scoring three goals in each.
