Fredericksburg, Va. - Rhodes College field hockey suffered a 1-0 loss Sunday afternoon in a neutral-site contest against Randolph-Macon College. Rhodes will look ahead to their game against host University of Mary Washington Monday.
After a slow first half which saw just 11 total shots, Rhodes recorded 11 shots in the second half before succumbing to Randolph-Macon in the 48th minute. The Yellow Jackets wrapped up a rebound to score the game-winner and also recorded seven saves in the second half to earn the shutout.
Nina Migneco made four saves for the Lynx who totaled a 17-12 shot advantage. Each team recorded three penalty corners.
Rhodes will take on a tough Mary Washington squad at 12 p.m. ET Monday afternoon.
