Memphis - After just a two-point halftime advantage, Rhodes women's basketball jumped out to a 15-0 run against Berry College Friday, carrying them to a 64-49 conference victory. The win is the fourth in a row as the Lynx improve to 9-3 on the season and 2-0 in SAA play. Berry dropped to 5-7 overall and 0-2 in conference.
The Lynx out-scored Berry 21-6 during that third frame Rhodes tallied seven buckets including three treys to go along with their four free throws for a 19-point advantage. The Vikings netted just three field goals and committed seven turnovers.
Sophomore
Alyssa Owens led the game with 21 points on 7-of-11 in the field. She went five-of-six from behind the arc and also tallied five rebounds and three assists. She tied her career-high points scored from the first game of this season.
Recording the only double-double of the game was junior
Allie Young with 14 rebounds and 10 points. She also tallied a game-high five assists.
Rhodes will finish the weekend by hosting Oglethorpe on Sunday at 1 p.m.
