Sewanee, Tenn. - Rhodes College men's basketball led Sewanee 57-51 at halftime, but found themselves down by 12 points with 5:22 left to play. The two teams were tied 96-96 with 23 seconds left after junior
Daniel Darst made one of his final two free throw attempts. Sewanee secured the defensive rebound and after a timeout, the Tigers pulled out a three-pointer with four seconds left to win the game.
Anesu Nyawata scored 14 of his team-high 17 points in the first half. He finished the game with three treys.
Vaughn Samson netted 11 of his 13 points in the second half.
Andrew Evans also netted 13 points in the game while Darst finished with a Rhodes' high nine rebounds, four assists and three blocks.
Bryce Berry tallied 11 points in the game.
Rhodes travels to Centre College for a 3 p.m. ET game on Sunday.
