Memphis - Rhodes College men's basketball picked up a big win Friday night against long-time rival Sewanee. The Lynx advance to 9-8 overall and 3-3 in SAA play while they handed Sewanee just their second conference loss of the season.
The Lynx led 56-48 at halftime and out-scored Sewanee 68-56 in the second half.
Senior Anesu Nyawata led Rhodes with 16 points as four others also secured double digits.
Daniel Darst led the Lynx with eight rebounds. He also secured 14 points.
Vaughn Samson tallied 15 points, going three-of-four from long range while William McIntyre (13 points) and
Bryce Berry (12 points) rounded out Rhodes' high scorers.
The Lynx will turn to face Centre on Sunday inside Mallory Gymnasium at 3 p.m.
