Granville, Ohio - Rhodes College field hockey suffered a loss Saturday morning when they fell to Denison University 2-0. Denison has now won five straight games and is 7-3 on the year. The Lynx fall to 4-4 on the year and will once again play on the same field tomorrow for a neutral-site matchup against Oberlin.
Denison ended the 0-0 tie in the final second of the first half. Denison got off two shots in the final seconds of the game to net the game-winner. They followed up with another goal in 52nd minute.
Denison out-shot Rhodes 11-4 on the day. Four of Denison's last five wins have been shutouts.Â
Rhodes will be on the road next week as well, only returning to Mason Field on Oct. 12th.Â
