Granville, Ohio - Rhodes field hockey concluded their weekend trip to Ohio with an offensive domination in a neutral-site matchup against Oberlin College. The two teams met on the campus of Denison Sunday afternoon with the Lynx tallying nine goals in their fifth shutout of the year.

The Lynx are now 5-4 on the season and will now turn their focus to their conference schedule. Rhodes will travel to Centre and Transylvania Oct. 7th and 8th before hosting Ferrum in a mid-week matchup at home on Oct. 12 at 4 p.m.

In the win against Oberlin, junior Lizzie Wood scored a hat trick while sophomore Maria Varat (pictured) scored on her only two shots of the game. Midfielder Mackenzie Buzby made her presence on the field known by scoring a goal and adding two assists. Jillian Christensen assisted twice.

Laura Eckelkamp got the start in goal as Nina Migneco guarded the goal for the Lynx in the second half. Each took home a share of the shutout. Oberlin mustered just one shot in the game, which was not on goal. Oberlin's goalie Kennedy Kline gathered 18 saves in the contest while two teammates each recorded one defensive save.
