DANVILLE, Ky. - The Rhodes College men's tennis team wasted no time with the Centre Colonels as the two teams played to decision with the Lynx claiming a 5-0 win in SAA play.
The Lynx began things with a sweep in doubles play as seniors
Albert Vacheron and
Daniel Olivier earned an 8-4 win at No. 1 doubles. Sophomore
Sean Hogan and
Andrew Morton along with junior
Wesley Tolsdorf and freshman
Ritwik Chatterjee earned a pair of 8-6 wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles to sweep the courts.
Vacheron earned a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles while Morton ended the match early with a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles for the 5-0 sweep.
Rhodes moves to 16-4 overall and 5-1 in the SAA and will play for a chance to claim a conference title on Saturday as they take on 6-0 Sewanee in the mountains beginning at 11 AM.
