MEMPHIS - The Rhodes College men's tennis team had no answers on Saturday afternoon as they fell to the Millsaps Majors in conference play by the score of 7-2 at Dunavant Tennis Courts.
The Lynx got off to a tough start on the doubles side, dropping all three games including a pair of 8-4 losses at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. The Lynx had a lot of work to do as they moved into singles action.
Freshman
Ritwik Chatterjee got Rhodes on the board with a 6-2, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles. From there, three different Lynx went to a third set, but ultimately Rhodes would fall short in the loss.
Senior
Daniel Olivier picked up a win in three sets, coming-from-behind to win at No. 6 singles, 5-7, 6-4, 10-2. Sophomore
Sean Hogan and freshman
Andrew Morton each went to three sets at No. 5 and No. 3 singles, but would fall just short in an exciting match.
Rhodes moves to 12-4 overall and 1-1 in SAA play. They look to bounce back tomorrow morning in conference play as they welcome in Birmingham-Southern for a 9 AM start time.
