ATLANTA, Ga. - The Rhodes College baseball team had a tough go on Friday evening as they fell to the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels in their Southern Athletic Association opener by the score of 10-0 (8).
Rhodes struggled all day long, only mustering two hits on the afternoon. Senior
Blake Glauben took the loss, falling to 0-1 on the season. Freshman
Trey Sledge pitched 1.1 innings while sophomore
Matt Dale pitched the final 2.1.
Seniors
Ryan Olive and
Bennett Notestine each had the only hits in the game. Notestine also added a stolen base.
Rhodes will look to respond in the series tomorrow as they take on the Petrels in a double header beginning at 1 PM ET.
