JACKSON, Miss. - The Rhodes College women's basketball season saw their three game winning streak, all coming in conference play, come to a close on Sunday afternoon as they fell to the Millsaps Majors 56-39 at The Hangar Dome.
It was a tough afternoon from the field for Rhodes, finishing 13 of 56 (23%) and 3 of 20 from behind the arc (15%), Meanwhie, Millsaps shot 36% from the field and 40% from deep. The Lynx were able to force 14 Major turnovers, but Millsaps controlled the paint, out rebounding Rhodes 42-33 and scoring 25 points in the paint.
The Lynx found themselves down early on as a 9-0 run by the Majors gave them an early 9-2 en rout to a 15-4 lead at the end of one. Rhodes got it down to six midway through the second quarter, but the Majors would build their big lead back up, taking a 34-18 lead at the break.
An 8-0 run to start the second half got the game under double digit and within nine, but a Millsaps 10-0 run got their lead as high at 19 as the Majors pulled away for the home win.

Allie Young was the only Lynx in double figures with 10 points to go with five boards, three assists, three blocks, and three steals. Senior
Bailey Kramer scored seven points to go with five rebounds while freshman
Anna Muller scored seven off the bench.

Sara Giesen had two steals while senior
Blaire Smith added two assists. Kramer also had two steals while Muller added three blocks to her stat total.
Kala-Jewel Freeman led Millsaps with 18 points and 10 rebounds while Megan Donaldson had 12 points off the bench.
Rhodes moves to 4-18 overall and 3-8 in the SAA. They will return home on Friday as they welcome in the Centre Colonels for a 6 PM tip of..
