MEMPHIS -
The Rhodes College men's tennis team completed a perfect weekend on Sunday afternoon as they defeated the Ozarks for their third win by the score of 8-1 at Dunavant Tennis Courts.

The Lynx fought off a lengthy rain delay and windy conditions to still roll by the Eagles.

Rhodes jumped out to a 2-0 lead behind brilliant efforts by the No. 1 doubles team of seniors Albert Vacheron and Daniel Olivier while the No. 2 team of freshmen P.J. Shaw and Phil Lauture each picked up an 8-2 win at their court.

The battle was at No. 3 doubles between Jonah Martinez and Cole Lankford and junior Wesley Tolsdorf and freshman Ritwik Chatterjee. The duo sustained and prevailed as they finished off the doubles sweep with an 8-5 win.

In singles, the top four courts were all dominant, winning their matches in two sets. Lauture was terrific at No. 3 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win while Shaw picked up a 6-3, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles.

Chatterjee played No. 1 singles and picked up a 6-1, 6-2 victory while Olivier was victorious at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-3.

At No. 5 singles, Tolsdorf came-from-behind, dropping the first set 4-6 before winning the next two 6-4, 1-0 (10-5) to give the Lynx the comfortable 8-1 victory over the Ozarks.

Rhodes is now 3-0 on the young season and will look to carry their early momentum into next weekend as they welcome Belhaven to the Dunavant Tennis Courts on Friday at 4 PM.
