Dallas, Texas - Rhodes College women's basketball ended their final weekend of competition before the holiday break strong with a 30-point (84-54) victory at the University of Dallas Sunday afternoon.
In the game, Rhodes out-rebounded UDallas 60-35 and shot .410 in the field.
Leading the charge were
Lindsey Whiteside,
Alyssa Owens,
Moriah Muhammad and
Jessie Ustick. Whiteside posted the only double-double of the game with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Owens coupled her 11 points with seven assists and six rebounds. Muhammad recorded career highs in both points (15) and rebounds (9) as she narrowly missed a double-double and Ustick's accuracy was on target, draining both three-point attempts and making five of six shot attempts on the day totaling 12 points in 12 minutes of play. Allie Young with 11 rebounds and freshman
Maya Longacre with a career-high 11 points.
For the Spartans, Panda Green's 19 points was the game-high. She went five of nine from long range.
With the win, Rhodes is now 6-3 on the year as they take almost a two-week hiatus from competition. The Lynx will be back in action at home on December 30th at 6pm when they host the University of the Ozarks.
