Lynx wrap up regular season going 3-0 at Blues City Invite

Memphis - Rhodes College volleyball finished a busy week at home in the Blues City Invite, sweeping all of their opponents 3-0 to end the regular season. Rhodes will head into the Southern Athletic Association Conference Tournament with a 12-13 overall record.

Prior to Friday's win over Louisiana College, Rhodes honored outgoing seniors Gabby Gafford and Elasha Williams.

On the weekend, Emily Korba led the Lynx with 24 kills and a .647 hitting percentage over seven sets. She only committed two errors on 34 attack attempts. The sophomore posted a career-high 14 kills on 19 attacks against Fontbonne for a career-high .737 hitting percentage. The right-side hitter hit .700 on Friday against Louisiana College with eight kills on 10 attacks and added another two kills against Mississippi University for Women.

Lulu Schulz led Rhodes with four solo blocks and three block assists. Freshman Mary Frances Daniel dug out 42 attacks on the weekend while senior Elasha Williams tallied 32 digs. Sarah Nieland averaged seven assists over six sets while Arati Joshi added 24 assists. Joshi had several pancake digs against Fontbonne, her defensive efforts also aiding in the sweep. 

Rhodes will head to Berry College this weekend for the SAA Tournament where they will face No. 2-seeded Birmingham-Southern College at 6 p.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 3.
