Mount Berry, Ga. - Rhodes men's tennis' participated in their only fall tournament last weekend. The Lynx travelled to Mount Berry, Ga. to Berry College's campus for the International Tennis Association's South Regional tournament.Â
In the Main Draw sophomore
Ritwik Chatterjee had one of the longer first round matches and suffered a tough loss 4-6, 7-6(4), 7-5. Junior
Sairam Gudiseva came out on the positive end of his tight match in the consolation defeating Centre's Adam Sloane 6-2, 3-6, 10-8. Freshman
Miller Zeiders lost his first round to the No. 8-seed RJ Clement 6-4, 6-3, but made it through a couple rounds in the backdraw before dropping another tight match to Elijah Gregory 6-4, 2-6, 10-6. Junior
Sean Hogan also had a tough draw losing to the No. 2-seed, Sebastian Sikh, 6-3, 7-5, but bounced back in the consolation defeating Dustin Bowie from Oglethorpe 6-4, 6-2. Sophomore
Andrew Morton led the squad. He held off two match points in his second set against Anthony Pelligrini, and stormed back to defeat the Birmingham-Southern opponent 2-6, 7-5, 6-2.

In the Gold Draw senior Wes Tolsdorf won his first two rounds including a tight 4-6, 6-3, 10-8 win over North Carolina Wesleyan's Jakob Jurasek to make the quarterfinals. Junior
Phillips Hutchison also picked up a good win over Centre's Cy Dutton 7-5, 6-3.

In doubles Morton/Hogan drew the eventually champions in the first round and had some close games early but fell short in the end. Chatterjee/Zeiders won their first round 8-6 before losing to the eventually semifinalist Sikh/Iyer 8-4.
Rhodes, who will look to be full strength in the spring, will take to the court once again when they travel to Tennessee State Universy on February 2nd.
