Sewanee, Tenn. - Rhodes men's soccer couldn't come back from a 2-0 first-half Sewanee lead, falling 3-1 Sunday afternoon. The Lynx fall to 2-4 in conference and 6-5-2 overall. Sewanee is now 8-6 overall and 4-2 in SAA play.
Sewanee increased their lead to 3-0 in the 67th minute, Rhodes avoided the shutout when
George Winfrey scored in the 73rd minute on an assist from
William Mitchell.Â
The Tigers recorded 16 shots in the game compared to Rhodes' nine as they also held an 8-4 corner kick advantage.Â
Rhodes will finish the regular season at home this weekend, hosting Hendrix on Saturday at 2pm and also possible Fisk University on Sunday at 2 p.m.Â
