MEMPHIS - The Rhodes College field hockey team moved to 8-1 overall as their winning streak moved to five games in a 7-0 win over Concordia (Wis.) on Sunday afternoon at Crain Field.

Rhodes was dominant in their home match up, out shooting the Falcons 30-6 including 21-4 in shots on target. The Lynx also held a 15-4 advantage in penalty corners on the afternoon.

Junior Lauren Travis got things rolling 11 minutes into the contest as she scored to put Rhodes ahead 1-0. Just two minutes later, the Lynx made it 2-0 as senior Christina DiFelice found sophomore Lizzie Wood.

Rhodes would dominate possession throughout the half and would get one more goal before the break as a pair of freshman hooked up to give the Lynx momentum going into the break. Cami Sullivan would find Hailey Mules to make it a 3-0 game at the break.

In the second half, Rhodes got a pair of goals in the first three minutes as sophomore Jillian Christensen and senior Mackenzie Busby each scored a goal put Rhodes ahead 5-0. The freshmen would strike again to close out the match as Sullivan and Mules each added a goal to their tally for the 7-0 win.
