In a very eventful first half, Sewanee came out hot as they looked to jump all over their rivals in the first 35 minutes. The Tigers actually held a 9-8 shot advantage in the first half, but the Rhodes defense would come up big behind junior goalkeeper
Laura Eckelkamp and junior defender
Morgan Woodrow. Sophomore
Abby Rockefeller and freshman
Daryl Perry also made huge plays for the Rhodes defense.
In the second half, Rhodes broke through six minutes into the second half as senior
Christina DiFelice sent a beautiful pass into the box, finding Travis who put away her first goal of the game for the lead.
It only took 39 second for Sewanee to answer as Virginia Barry evened the score to get the home crowd back into the match.
From there, Rhodes began to take control of the match in a hostile environment as the Rhodes forwards began to dominate behind the likes of Travis, DiFelice, and sophomore
Lizzie Wood. The Lynx would out shoot Sewanee 14-3 in the second half.
With around six minutes to go in the second half, Travis broke free, beating the line of defense as well as goalie Katya Waters. Despite getting tripped up by Waters, Travis got the shot off and into the back of the net to put Rhodes ahead 2-1.
The Lynx would put the match away for good with four minutes left as Travis struck again, this time with a beautiful pass to Wood who finished for Rhodes' third goal of the match to clinch the huge win.
Wood would get six shots off on the day while Travis added five. Sophomore

Mackenzie Busby, and freshman
