DANVILLE, Ky. - The Rhodes College men's lacrosse team was outscored 4-0 in the second quarter as they could not recover against the Centre College Colonels, eventually falling 9-4 on Friday evening.
The Lynx out shot the Colonels, 31-29, but only 14 were on target to Centre's 19. Rhodes were only 14 of 19 in clear attempts and finished with 16 turnovers, though they turned Centre over 15 times.
After Centre opened up a 1-0 lead, Rhodes responded with two straight goals to take their first and only lead of the game. Sophomore

Austin Bridgforth ripped a shot past the goalie to take a 2-1 advantage.
Centre went on to score five straight goals from there including a four goal second quarter to take a 6-2 lead into the break. Milwit made it a 6-3 game early in the second half, but the Colonels rattled off three more goals to go ahead 9-3 in the fourth.
Milwit would earn a hat trick, but it was not enough as the Lynx suffered their second SAA loss of the season. Fennelly added two assists on the night. Sophomore

John Wancowicz each added three ground balls a piece. Fennelly, Link, junior
Mike Knudsen, and sophomore
John Snyder each had a caused turnovers. Link added 10 saves.
Rhodes moves to 11-3 overall and 4-2 in SAA play. They will head back to Tennessee, but into the eastern portion as they close the regular season with a 1 PM matchup against arch-rival Sewanee.
