CONWAY, Ark. - The Rhodes College women's lacrosse team stayed atop the Southern Athletic Association standings as they moved to 3-0 on the season with a 17-4 rout of Hendrix College on the road.
Rhodes outshot the Warriors 33-16 and had a 29-8 advantage in shots on goal. The Lynx forced 23 turnovers while only giving it away 13 times, and were 11-for-22 in draw controls on the day.
The Lynx opened the game by scoring seven goals in seven minutes to take a commanding 7-0 lead. Sophomore
Kendall Cunningham scored the games first goal while sophomore
Ashley Doyle followed it up a minute later to make it 2-0. Cunningham scored again followed by goals by junior
Ashley Dill, freshman
Annika Hedlund, freshman
Taylor Ansel, and senior
Morgan Fuller.
Hendrix got back-to-back goals to make it a 7-2 game, but Rhodes used the final 20 minutes of the half to score seven more goals to take a 14-3 advantage at the break. Fuller and sophomore
Maggie Rippeto scored goals to take a 9-2 before Hendrix grabbed another goal to cut the deficit to six.
From there, Rippeto put home another goal while Cunningham scored three of the next four goals. Doyle also added her second of the game as Rhodes took complete control of the match going into halftime.
In the second half, Rhodes began to empty their bench as the scoring slowed down. Dill, Hedlund, and Fuller each added a goal to their day while Hendrix only scored one goal in the second half.
Cunningham finished with five goals, an assist, and two draw controls while Fuller added three goals, five ground balls, and two caused turnovers. Doyle added two goals and two assists to go with three caused turnovers, three ground balls, and two ground controls while Dill and Rippeto each had two goals and two assists. Hedlund also had a two goal game.

Dylan Craddock continues her exceptional play as she had three caused turnovers and two ground balls while senior
Emily Teague added two caused turnovers. Sophomore
Olivia Holmes had five ground balls to go with an assist while senior
Sam Vanover and sophomore
Erin Gleeson each had two.
Rhodes moves to 9-2 overall on the season to go with their 3-0 conference record. They will be back on the road next weekend as they head to Danville, Ky. for a non-conference, neutral site matchup with Meredith at 2 PM ET. The two teams met last season in the NCAA Tournament with Rhodes defeating Meredith, 16-12.
