WINTER HAVEN, Fla. - The Rhodes College baseball team fell to the Thomas More Saints, 10-7, on Thursday afternoon in Winter Haven, Fla. after a seven run inning in the eighth by the Saints erased a three run lead for the Lynx.
Rhodes led 6-3 through seven complete thanks to a two-run homerun as well as RBI single from senior
Marcus Moreland and RBIs from sophomore Levin Greenberg and junior
Bennett Notestine.
Freshman
Cameron Tinker got the start and was terrific, going seven innings with two strikeouts, but did come out to start the eighth where he was credited with runs allowed. As the inning progressed, sophomore
Will Vance eventually came in and shut the door, going 1.2 innings while allowing no runs on two hits while striking out two.
Moreland went 2-for-4 with three RBIs on the day while junior
Bill Munson was 3-for-5 including a solo homerun. Sophomore
Zac Lange was 2-for-5 with two runs scored while Greenberg and senior
Nathan Foshee each had a double on the day.
Rhodes is back in action on Friday in Florida as they take on UMass Boston at 3:00 PM ET.
