ATLANTA, Ga. - The Rhodes College women's basketball team were outscored 20-6 and 19-6 in the second and third quarters as they fell to Emory University, 70-46, on Monday afternoon in Atlanta.
The Lynx struggled after the first quarter, finishing the game shooting 16-for-56 (28.6%) and 5-for-17 (29.4%) from downtown. Rhodes struggled with turnovers on teh afternoon, finishing with 26.

Bailey Kramer scored six points in the first quarter while sophomore

Hannah Orth each added three pointers as the Lynx held a 15-12 lead at the end of the quarter.
From there, Rhodes could not get anything going on the offensive end, going 5-for-25 from the field with 16 turnovers while being outscored 39-12. Rhodes would score 19 in the final quarter, but it would be far too late as they took a tough loss on the road.
Kramer led the way with 11 points and nine rebounds with a steal, block, and assist while senior
Catherine Eckert added seven points and three steals. Orth added six off the bench while senior
Symone Daniels had six points. Deery led all passers with three assists while freshman
Allie Young had five rebounds and two blocks off the bench.
Rhodes moves to 6-6 on the year as they prepare to move back into Southern Athletic Association play. The Lynx, who stand at 0-1 in the SAA, will travel to Danville, Ky. to take on Centre College at 6 PM ET/5 PM CT.
