NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Junior
Sarah Wachter scored in the 79th minute to push the Rhodes College women's soccer team to a huge 2-1 victory over North Central College on the road on Sunday afternoon.
For Wachter, not only was it her first goal of the 2015 season, but it was also her first goal of her career, coming at a huge point in the match.

Addie Fargason. The Lynx would take the one goal lead into the break as they dominated shots and corners throughout the half, outshooting the Cardinals, 9-3, and earning five corner kicks.
North Central would equalize the match in the 52nd minute on a goal from Caitlyn Orawiec. Rhodes remained aggressive on the attack, taking 10 shots in the second half, but the Cardinals battled back with eight shots of their own including three corner kicks.
After Wachter's key goal, the Cardinals sought the equalizer before time ran out, getting two shots off, but the Lynx defense would prevail to preserve the victory.

Nicolette Glidden was a key factor in the offense, taking five shots including four on target in the contest while five different Lynx took two shots including Wachter, Elliott, senior

Chandler Kuhlman earned the victory in goal, coming up with six saves in the contest.
Rhodes moves to 5-3-1 overall and will prepare to return home for their matchup on Wednesday afternoon against Hendrix College. It is the first Southern Athletic Association matchup of the season for both teams and first kick is set for 4 p.m.
