MEMPHIS - The Rhodes College field hockey team returned to Mason Field on Saturday morning as they took on the Transylvania Pioneers in a Southern Athletic Association matchup. The Lynx scored seven goals in the first half en rout to an 11-0 blowout victory.
It only took the Lynx three minutes to get on the board as senior
Evy Royther her fifth goal of the season for the early 1-0 lead. The lead would move to 3-0 by the 10 minute mark as junior
Christina DiFelice and senior
Jordan Kugler scored the next two goals.
A minute later, DiFelice would score her second goal of the day to move the lead to 4-0. Freshman
Lizzie Wood would score back-to-back goals while sophomore
Georgie Wilkins ended the half with her eighth goal of the year as the Lynx took the 7-0 lead into the break.
DiFelice would complete her hat trick in the second half while Royther added her second goal of the day. Senior
Alex Friedman and junior
Grace Whelan added goals as the Lynx rolled to their fourth straight victory.
DiFelice had a hat trick on the day while Royther and Wood each had two goals. Senior
Mary Rose Hazel had three assists on the afternoon. Senior

Lauren Travis, junior Meghan Fogarty, and Wilkins all had assists in the game.
The Lynx move to 5-1 overall and 2-0 in SAA play. They will be back at Mason Field tomorrow in a rematch of the 2014 SAA Championship Game against Centre College at 11 a.m.
