GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The Rhodes College field hockey team continued its great play, moving their win streak to two games, after a 6-1 win over Wittenberg on Saturday afternoon at DePauw Univeristy.
The Lynx jumped out to a 3-0 lead throughout the first 35 minutes of play as senior
Mary Rose Hazel scored a pair of goals while
Jordan Kugler added a goal as well. Rhodes extended the lead to 5-0 thanks to goals from sophomore
Georgie Wilkins and junior
Mackenzie Busby.
After a goal by the Tigers, the Lynx finished things off with a goal by freshman
Jillian Christensen and cruised to the 6-1 victory.
Hazel led the way with two goals while Busby had a goal and an assist. Junior Christina Difelice and senior
Katie Johnson each added assists in the contest. The Lynx out shot the Tigers, 14-6, with 12 of Rhodes' shots on target.
The Lynx move to 3-1 on the season and will be back in action tomorrow morning as they take on DePauw University in Greencastle at 11 a.m.
