MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The No. 9 Rhodes baseball team split with Berry College on Sunday, to take the Southern Athletic Association series 2-1.
The Lynx move to 22-6 on the season and 9-2 in league play while Vikings are now 15-12-1 and 6-5-1 in conference action.

Jeff Cleanthes squad won a low scoring first game against the Vikings, 1-0.
The lone Lynx run came in the eighth inning when
Ryan Olive knocked a single into left field, scoring
Bill Munson for the 1-0 win.
Rhodes rallied for five hits in the outing, led by Olive, who had three hits on the day, while Munson powered a triple in the outing.
Blake Glauben threw the complete game for Rhodes, going the distance in nine innings, striking out six. The junior only allowed one hit in the contest, and gave up only two walks.
In the second matchup the Lynx couldn't overcome an early game Berry charge, falling 9-4.
After the Vikings posted nine runs in the first and second innings, Rhodes was able to break the scoring silence in the third inning when
Will Gietema notched a single to center to score Olive. A late rally in the seventh fell short, with an Olive three-run homer to left giving the Lynx the final score of 9-4.
Rhodes worked for seven hits in the contest, with two apiece from Olive and Gietema.
Adam Putnam got the start on the mound for Rhodes, where he threw two complete innings with three strikeouts. A host of Lynx saw time on the hill, with
Will Vance finishing the final inning, with one strikeout.
Rhodes will be back in action on April 3 when they head to Conway, Ark. to play a series against conference foes Hendrix College.
