JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – The Rhodes women's golf team brought home the coveted Jekyll Island Classic title on Sunday, winning the event with a team score of 943.
The Lynx, who led the event the whole way through, turned in a final day score of 306 to take the title. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and New York University took second with a three-round score of 958, with Illinois Wesleyan shooting a 969 for fourth. Methodist University rounded out the top five with a 972.
Meg Healy (83, 75, 74) led the Lynx with a three day total of 232.
Nikki Isaacson (80, 79, 77) carded a 236 and Makenzie Cohen (77, 78, 820 shot a 237.
Jessica Ritter (83, 83, 75) and
Pearlissa Harris (82, 85, 80) rounded out the top five for the Lynx.
Rhodes also had three Lynx playing as individuals, with
Clarice Cannon (86, 82, 82) finishing with a 250,
Maddie Rhodes (87, 83, 82) carding a 252 and
Alexa Calomiris (88, 88, 85) shooting 261 for the tournament.
Rhodes will be back on the links on March 22 when they host the Joe Duncan Rhodes Invitational.
