MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Rhodes women's lacrosse team picked up a sound 22-2 win over Hiram College on Tuesday.
The Lynx move to 7-0 on the year, while the Terriers fall to 1-2 on the season.
Rhodes came out firing, and never looked back. After scoring the first two goals, the Lynx saw the Terriers net their lone goal of the half at the 23:45 mark. The Lynx unleashed, scoring 13 straight goals to take a 16-1 lead into the break.
In the second half, the Lynx picked up right where they left off, netting four straight goals. Hiram found the back of the net on what would be their final goal of the game at the 13:02 mark. Rhodes netted a pair of goals for good measure, and closed out the contest with the 22-2 victory.
A host of Lynx worked their way into the scoring column, with
Lindsay Gess leading the way with five scores.
Kendall Cunningham and
Oliva Holmes found the back of the net on three different occasions, with
Tori Van Heyst working for two goals.

Rhodes outshot their counterparts by a margin of 30-12, and picked up more ground balls by a count of 13-6. The Lynx went 15-for-16 on clear attempts and forced 21 Terrier turnovers.
Sarah Daniels got the start for the Lynx, picking up two saves and the win.
Katherine Farmer nabbed 25 minutes in goal, with three saves.
Katherine Tooley snagged the last 19 minutes of play and three saves in the cage.
Rhodes will be back in action on March 21 when they host conference foes Centre College.
