WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – The No. 14 Rhodes baseball team dropped a contest on the road on Tuesday to Webster University, 8-1.
The loss snaps a 10 game win streak, and puts the Lynx at 14-3 on the season. The Gorlocks improve to 3-4 on the season.
Rhodes got rolling right off the bat in the first inning when the Lynx tacked on an early run. The Rhodes offense fell stagnant, failing to add any more runs throughout the contest.
Bill Munson was a bright spot for the Lynx offense, where he went 3-for-3 on the day from the plate. Rhodes strung together six total hits.
Blake Glauben was on the mound for the Lynx, picking up his first loss of the season. The junior threw for six and two-thirds innings, with six strikeouts.
Will Vance finished out the contest, throwing a complete inning and striking out one batter in his time on the hill.
Rhodes will look to bounce back on March 11 when they face off against Wheaton College (Mass.) in Winter Haven, Fla.
