ATLANTA, Ga. - Sophomore goalkeeper Laura Eckelkamp has earned Southern Athleitc Association Defensive Player of the Week for her performance this past weekend as she led the Rhodes College to a conference win this past weekend.

Eckelkamp anchored a strong Lynx defense that earned their 3rd shutout of the season on Saturday. Eckelkamp made four big saves for Rhodes, thwarting the Warriors strong attack. Eckelkamp ranks second in the conference in save percentage and goals against average.

Rhodes and Eckelkamp are back in action this upcoming weekend as they travel to Sewanee, Tenn. on the campus of the University of the South to take on Lynchburg College at 12 p.m.
