CONWAY, Ark. - The Rhodes College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to 24th-ranked Hendrix College on Wednesday evening in a Southern Athletic Association matchup at Grove Gymnasium.
The Lynx struggled offensively throughout the evening, finishing with 22 kills to 16 errors and only hitting .067 in the matchup. Meanwhile, Hendrix, the top team in the conference, finished with 45 kills to 16 errors and hit .287 in the contest.
Hendrix came out on fire in the first set, winning 25-16, and hitting .375 in the set including 16 kills and four errors in the set. Rhodes was only able to muster seven kills to go with five errors.
The second set was a close back-and-forth set with the Lynx holding a 23-21 lead late in the set, but Hendrix would come-from-behind and win the set, 26-24, thanks to 17 kills in the set. Rhodes would finished with seven kills, but would force eight Warrior errors.
Hendrix would finish things off in the final set, winning 25-16 as the Warriors had 12 kills in the set.

Elasha Williams had seven kills in the match followed by five from freshman
Ellen Platt. Freshman
Ana McMullen added 20 assists. Defensively, senior
Maraia Tremarelli and McMullen each had eight digs while freshman
August Bishop, freshman
Caroline Perlis, and Platt all had three blocks a piece.
Rhodes moves to 9-13 overall and 2-8 in SAA play. They will return home to Mallory Gymnasium this upcoming weekend as they welcome in Berry College on Saturday at 3 p.m.
