MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Nikki Isaacson (Racine, Wis., The Prairie School) shot a final round one-under par 71 and Mackenzie Cohen (Centennial, Co. , Cherry Creek) shot a 75 to tie for medalist honors with a two-day score of 147 in the Southern Athletic Association Preview Golf Tournament.

Rhodes shot a final round 306 to claim the team title (292-306) by a commanding 37 strokes over runnerup Berry College (315-320).  The 71 by Nikki Isaacson is her low collegiate round, an accomplishment which teammate Jessica Zweifel recorded in the first round as well.

Senior Co-Captain Jessia Ritter, playing as an individual, posted a 77 in the final round to shoot 155 (78-77).

"It was great having the whole team participate in the SAA Preview, especially having our two freshmen, Maddie Rhodes and Alexa Calomiris, travel," said Rhodes Head Coach Mike Clary.
"Our Co-Captains, Jessica Rittter and Meg Healy, did a great job of having our team in a good frame of mind this morning.  Shooting 292 in the first round was simply phenomenal.  There was no talk by our players of besting the 292.  Our players simply teed it up today to have fun and play our best."

Other scores:
Jessica Zweifel, 80 (third place, All-Tournament Team)
Meg Healy, 80, (tied for fifth, All-Tournament Team)
Pearlissa Harris, 80
Maddie Rhodes, 81
Alexa Calomiris, 88

"Our two freshmen, Maddie Rhodes and Alexa Calomiris, really performed well in their first collegiate 36 hole tournament," said Coach Clary.  "I'm really excited about what they bring to our team from a team chemistry, dedication to practice, and character standpoint."

The team's next competition will be the Golfweek Invitational in Sandestin, Fla. on Oct. 12-14.
