JACKSON, Miss. – The Rhodes volleyball team dropped in three straight sets to Millsaps College on the road on Saturday, 3-0.
The loss sets the Lynx at 4-10 on the season and 0-3 in Southern Athletic Association play, while the Major improved to 12-1 on the year and are 3-1 in league play.
The Lynx dropped the first two sets by scores of 25-13, 25-13 and the third set 25-19.
Rhodes had a balanced attack, with
Mollie Newbern leading the way with seven kills, followed by six kills from
Elasha Williams and three a piece from
Haley Cremerius and
Lauren Johnson.
Caryn Hawkins dished out 20 assists, while picking up five digs.
Maraia Tremarelli sprawlded for 17 digs in the outing, with Williams adding 14 digs of her own.
Rhodes will be back in action on the road, on Sept. 28 at Birmingham Southern College in a conference contest set to start at 1 p.m.
