ABILENE, Texas – The Rhodes women's soccer team fell in a close contest on the road on Saturday to the University of Texas at Dallas, 1-0.
 
The Lynx fall to 4-2-1 on the season while the comets improve to 5-1 on the year.
 
The Rhodes defense played a sound game, holding the Comets scoreless in the first half.  Both teams struggled offensively, with neither team able to post a score for the first 72 minutes of play. Jeri Mills ended the scoring silence at the 72 minute mark, posting a score of 1-0 that would stand as the final score.
 
The Lynx outshot UT-Dallas by a margin of 13-11, as well as the corner kick category, where the Lynx were awarded three to the Comets two.
 
Chandler Kuhlman was in goal for the Lynx for all 90 minutes, where she picked up six saves in the outing.
 
The Lynx will look to bounce back on Sunday, Sept. 21 as they face off against Hardin Simmons University at 1 p.m.
