Box Score BALTIMORE, Md. – The Rhodes College field hockey picked up a big 1-0 win over John Hopkins University on Saturday.
The Lynx improve to 3-1 on the season while the Blue Jays fall to 3-2 on the year.
The Lynx defense was a force to be reckoned with, as
Erin Bailey played all 70 minutes in goal fot he Lynx, snagging six saves in the contest.
The lone goal of the game came in the 33rd minute when
Christina DiFelice found the back of the cage off a
Grace Whelan set up during a penalty corner. The goal that came from the top of the circle, was the sophomores second score of the season.
Rhodes held off the charging Blue Jays, facing 20 shots from their opponents and only taking two themselves. John Hopkins also took more penalty corners by a margin of 10-2.
Rhodes will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 14 when they face off against Randolph Macon in Baltimore.
