MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The No. 16 Rhodes baseball team fell in a cross town rival game to Christian Brothers University on Wednesday, 7-3.
Rhodes posts just its sixth loss with an 18-6 record while the Bucs advance to 7-21 on the season.
The Lynx notched nine hits in the loss, including a pair of doubles from
Ryan Olive and
Andrew Wallis. Olive paced the Lynx with two hits in the contest with
Bill Munson adding two as well.
Josh Olejnik got the start for Rhodes, where he threw for two innings.
Strother White also time on the rubber, throwing for three full innings before
Max Halasz came in for an inning, throwing three strikeouts in eight batters faced.
Thomas Beamish closed out the game with one complete inning of work.
The Lynx will look to this weekend, March 29-30 when they host conference rivals Sewanee: The University of the South for a three game series, beginning with a double header on Friday.
