Conway, Ark. - The Lynx claimed its second victory of the year with a win at Southern Athletic Association opponent Hendrix College on Sunday.
 
Rhodes started strong with three convincing doubles wins to set the tone going into singles competition.  Albert Vacheron and Daniel Olivier overpowered their opponents with big serves and crisp volleys to a quick 8-0 victory with Graham Sowden and Greyson Brilliant close behind, winning 8-1.  Eliot Blatt and Trevor Lew started strong, opening up a two-break 3-0 lead, finishing strong to close out an 8-4 win over a talented No. 1 Warriors doubles team.
 
Weston Breay, playing in the first match of his young Rhodes career, was the first match finished with a decisive 6-0, 6-0 victory at line six.  Daniel Olivier completed his weekend shutout with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at line five, staying perfect in singles competition on the year.  Graham Sowden played his best singles of the weekend in a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles, matching his impressive doubles play and growing stronger with every match.
 
Trevor Lew and Greyson Brilliant won their line three and line two matches 6-2, 6-2 to build the Lynx lead to 8-0 with Eliot Blatt down one set but looking strong in the second.  Blatt surged to a 6-3 win in the set before the match moved into a match tiebreaker for the decisive third set.  Hendrix claimed the tiebreaker 10-8 for their only point of the match.
 
Rhodes is back on the road Saturday, March 1 in Atlanta, Ga. at the inaugural Southern Shootout.  Hosted by SAA opponent Oglethorpe University, the Lynx square off against Christopher Newport University at 9 a.m.
