LAGRANGE, Ga. - The Rhodes women's lacrosse team records historic first win Sunday over LaGrange College, 17-5.

Rhodes posts a 1-1 record to start the 2014 campaign while the Panthers fall to 0-1 to kick off their season.

The Lynx got goals from a host of players, including five from
Tori Van Heyst, four from
Morgan Fuller, Â three from
Emily Teague two from Lindsey Gess and a goal apiece from
Lisle Bruns,
Ashley Dill, and Courtney Haller.

Sarah Daniels got the win in the net for Rhodes, posting 53 minutes in goal. Daniels grabbed eight saves in her time in goal.
Lucy Rosenbloom also saw time in goal, grabbing a save in the Lynx first win.

Rhodes outshot its opponent by a count of 38-14. The Lynx also forced 11 turnovers, and won 12 out of 20 draw controls. Rhodes also scooped up 22 ground balls to the Panthers 11.

Rhodes will be back in action as they host conference rivals Sewanee on Feb. 22.
