CONWAY, Ark. – The Rhodes women's soccer team found themselves in another battle on Saturday against Hendrix College, ultimately tying in their Southern Athletic Association season opener.
The Lynx are now 5-3-2 on the season and begin, 0-0-1 in league play, while the Warriors move to 5-4-1 on the year and 0-0-1 in SAA.
The Rhodes defense got things done while the Lynx offense struggled to break through. Through two overtime periods, the Lynx couldn't find the back of the net and ended the game knotted at 0-0.
In every other category, the Lynx topped Hendrix significantly, outshooting the Warriors 31-4. Rhodes also took more corner kicks by a count of 8-0. With zero shots on goal for Hendrix, the Lynx net minder
Chandler Kuhlman saw 110 minutes with no saves.
The Lynx will be back in action on homecoming against Birmingham Southern College on Oct. 11 at 1 p.m.
