MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Rhodes volleyball team 5-19, 0-12 in league play while the Tigers are 7-17, 3-10 in conference action.
The Lynx fell in three straight sets, falling just short in set one, 25-23. Rhodes continued to fight, but were outmatched by the Tigers 25-16 in the second set and 25-13.
Rhodes was led in offense by
Elasha Williams, who had 13 kills in the outing.
Alex Overstreet added six kills to the Lynx efforts.
Catherine Grimes dished out 15 assists in the contest, with
Caryn Hawkins adding 11 assists.
Rhodes defensive efforts were led by Williams as well, who sprawled for 18 digs.
Maraia Tremarelli added 14 digs in the contest, while Grimes picked up 10.
Rhodes will host the Rhodes Classic on Nov. 1-2, where they will face off against Rust College and Agnes Scott College.
