Rhodes, Centre stalemate ends in tie, 0-0

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Rhodes men's soccer team fought for a draw on Saturday, against Centre College, 0-0.
 
In 110 minutes of scoreless play, the Lynx move on undefeated in conference standings at 3-0-1 and move to 6-5-2 in regular season play. The Colonels move to 5-2-5 on the year and 2-0-2 in the league. 

The Colonels immediately had to regroup when Lynx goalkeeper, Riley Sheen, denied them of a first goal with a big save in the first five minutes. 

The two teams were neck and neck, with each squad firing seven shots in the first scoreless half.

The Lynx defense continued to battle, with the offense coming out on top in the second half,  producing the most shots on target. 

In 110 minutes of scoreless play for the Lynx, Sheen snagged eight saves in the outing.
 
The Lynx were edged in shots overall by acount of 16-13 and in corner kicks, 9-6. 

Rhodes will be back in action when the team travels on Oct. 24 to face Oglethorpe University at 4pm.
