MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Rhodes soccer falls in a tight race to the University of Dallas by a margin of 1-0 on Saturday in the Greg Volgas Memorial tournament.
 
The loss moves the Lynx to 1-2 and the Crusaders to 3-0 in 2013.
 
The Dallas score came at the 42 minute mark as Aaron Hegemann found the back of the net off a Ben Mannings assist.
 
Rhodes outshot the Crusaders by a tally of 17-14 and took more corner kicks in the contest by a total of 4-1.
 
The Lynx keeper, Riley Sheen, snagged three saves in the contest in 90 minutes of play.
 
Rhodes will be back in action Sunday Sept. 8 in the final game of the Greg Volgas Memorial as they take on Webster University at 2 p.m.
