ATLANTA, Ga. – Rhodes women's soccer fell to No. 10-ranked Emory on Saturday in women's soccer action 5-0.
The loss ends the Lynx seven game win streak, taking them to 7-2 overall. The Eagles moved to 6-2-1 for the year.
Rhodes saw five goals scored against them, the opening goal coming at the 15 minute mark from Charlotte Butker when she connected a header into goal for her first score on the year. Rhodes would trail 2-0 going into the half after a Christina Ramirez goal.
The Lynx allowed three more goals from Veronica Romero at the 46 minute mark, a second goal from Butker in the 55th minute and Karina Rodriguez scored the final goal with 30 seconds left in play.
Rhodes was outshot by a tally of 36-5.
Allison Cowling earned 10 saves in goal for the Lynx for all 90 minutes of the contest.
Rhodes will play in the second game of their road stretch Sunday Sept. 29 as they take on Agnes Scott at 1 p.m. eastern time.
