MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Sophomore quarterback Blake Box has been named the Southern Athletic Association's offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 23.
 
Box led Rhodes to a 36-9 victory over the University of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday. The Austin, Texas native completed 14-17 passes, good for 205 yards. Box also completed three touchdown passes, including a game long 42 yard pass. The second year quarterback also rushed for 55 yards, with his longest run of the day totaling 23 yards.
 
Box and the rest of the Lynx will be back at home Sept. 28 as they host SAA conference foe's Berry College at 1 p.m.
