The Rhodes Mens Lacrosse Team won a hard fought SAA Conference game today against the host, Oglethorpe University, by a tally of 13-11. The win was the first SAA victory for the Lynx. 

Offensively the Lynx were led by Merrill Charette with 4 goals, Matt Vavrek 3 goals, John Sanford 3 goals, Cooper Robinson 2 goals, and Kevin Vieira 1 goal. 

Defensively, Goalies Michael Stierer and Braxton Carr split halves and made many great saves to ensure the Lynx victory. Also Senior David Dorris did a great job on close defense against Oglethorpe's attack. LSM Elliot Diesel added many groundballs and great plays in transition to help stop the Oglethorpe offensive attack as well. 

The Lynx will back on the road next weekend, as they travel to Jackson, MS to take on SAA opponent Millsaps College. The game will start at 11:30 AM CST.
