Both the Men and Women's Tennis teams playe a series of challenging matches Wednesday against Denison College, ranked #9 in the region. The women were 0-3 after their doubles matches, and ended overall with a score of 1-8.
Maggie Donoghue remained consistent throughout her match and defeatd Denison's number one player 6-4, 6-1. After losing the first set 6-0,
Amelia McIsaac refocused and played exceedingly better, but ended up losing 4-6.
The men also fell to Denison 8-1. Freshman Matthew Plumley defeated Gettel 6-2, 6-0.
Colin Perry endured a suspenseful match and eventually fell 6-0, 2-6, and 12-10 in the tiebreaker. To end the day,
Greyson Brilliant played tough against his opponent, but was defeated 2-6, 6-2 and 10-6 in the tiebreaker. The men have a long day ahead of them Thursday as they play both Wheaton and Ithaca Colleges.
