The Rhodes baseball team dropped both games in this afternoon's double header to visiting Webster University. The Lynx fell 8-4 in the first game and 7-3 in the second game. Senior RHP
Matt Burnick took the loss in the first game and freshman LHP
Blake Glauben took the loss in the second game as Rhodes fell to 5-5 on the year.
Burnick (0-1) made his second start of the season on the mound in the first game, working 6.2 innings before handing the ball over to fellow senior RHP
Stuart Voges. Burnick allowed four runs on nine hits while striking out one and walking one. Senior LF
Channing Arndt and junior DH
Strother White both had productive days at the plate, as Arndt went 1-3 with a run scored and a walk, and White went 1-2 with a double, walked twice and scored two runs.
Glauben (0-1) made his second start in as many days for the Lynx in the second game. Glauben, worked the first three innings allowing two runs, on three hits and stuck out two. Senior RHP
James Todd took over for Glauben in the top of the fourth and would allow three runs on two hits over the next three innings. Junior LHP
Max Halasz worked the seventh for the Lynx, before handing the ball over to sophomore RHP
Blake Harrell in the eighth. Sophomore LHP
Josh Olejnik worked the ninth allowing one hit and striking out one. The Lynx offense was led by junior RF
Patrick Kilkenny who was 3-5 with a run scored. Senior LF
Channing Arndt was 2-5 and senior 1B Matt Killary was 2-4 with a double, run scored, and was hit by a pitch.
Rhodes will return to action this coming weekend as they open SAA play against Centre College at Stuaffer Field.
