MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Rhodes Field Hockey team has joined hands with the National Foundation for Cancer Research to participate in its fundraising campaign entitled Play4theCure, in which sports teams across the country are invited to participate by committing to donate proceeds from at least one game to NFCR.
Rhodes will be raising funds during their games versus Sewanee on Nov. 2 beginning at 11 a.m. at Mason Field
"We are very excited to be a part of such a wonderful event," said head coach
Jane Wells. "It's something that we are very supportive of and have always wanted to do, and we're glad we got to make it happen this year."
The field hockey team will be accepting donations at the game to help support the cause. Players on the team will also be wearing pink wristbands in support of the cause.
